How Pet Vaccinations Work:

Like human vaccines, pet vaccines offer substantial protection against many common viruses and diseases. Each vaccine consists of a modified or killed form of the virus it’s intended to protect against. Once injected into the body, it stimulates an immune response in which antibodies are produced to fight the virus. Should your pet ever encounter the virus in real life, their immune system will be able to recognize and destroy the intruder.

Does My Pet Really Need to be Vaccinated?

Yes! Unless your pet has had a severe reaction to their vaccines, we strongly recommend having them vaccinated. In many states, the rabies vaccine is required by law! Rabies, Lyme disease, and distemper are all harmful and/or fatal diseases that either cannot be treated, or will be very costly to treat.

Here at P.A.W.S. Pet Hospital, we consider pet vaccinations an absolute necessity, and are more than willing to discuss their many benefits with you. Your pet’s health and safety are our top priorities, and we will always let you know if your pet is overdue for their vaccinations.
